TIG Welder

Job description
(1st Shift)Performs TIG Welding on aluminum and stainless steel on flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.
Duties include:
- Read and interpret prints, drawings, product documentation, and producing product meeting industry welding standards
- Use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers
- Verification of weld according to the customer specifications and company's workmanship standards
- Clean and maintain welding equipment, maintain a clean organized work area ensuring equipment is in good working condition. All safety features/precautions maintained
- Must have ability to receive and maintain operator self-inspection stamp to meet quality expectations of Metal Works, Inc and the customer
- Notify management and/or quality when corrective action is required
- Verify operation steps indicated on the job traveler have been signed off through the manufacturing process
- Complete job travelers, ensure job paperwork follows parts through manufacturing process
- Enter labor into manufacturing system via barcode prior to releasing product to the next position
- Responsible for the quality and adequacy of own work
- Adherence to the company's personnel policies & procedures
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Ability to follow instructions verbal and or written
Maintain accurate and complete records
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours
Lift 15-20 repeatedly with maximum lifting of 50 Lbs.
Education/Experience
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent, Tech School Certification for Welding with at least 1 year minimum experience
