Job description (Temp to Hire)

RedCap Staffing is looking for a few individuals for shipping and receiving. We have openings on both 1st and 2nd shift

Job Summary

Prepare, package & label product to protect and prevent damage and to ensure prompt customer delivery. Checks receipt of incoming product for product identification (skid id tags, stamps, etc.).

Responsibilities:

Prior to packaging the product for shipment:

o Verify that ALL previous operations have been signed off.

o Visually checks products coming into shipping for any obvious damage; scratches, dents missing silk-screening, labels, etc.

o Notify the area Manager and or Quality when corrective action is required.

Package product according to customer requirements, documented instructions or when no documented instructions are available, package to protect the product from damage during transit.

Maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Complete job travelers and ensure job paperwork follows parts through the manufacturing process.

Enter labor into the manufacturing system via barcode prior to releasing product to the next operation.

Responsible for the quality and adequacy of own work.

Decisions: Under direct supervision, may work alone or as part of a team
