CAHSIER/SALES ASSOCIATE

Job Description
Core Job Expectations: Able to operate POS retail program for cashing out sales of product.
Take money and provide change or process credit card transactions. Able to find product in system
when there is no bar code or when bar code doesn't work. Become familiar with all store products.
Assist customers in locating merchandise. Answer phone calls. The ideal candidate would have
experience using retail POS software and have worked in a swimming pool retail store. Must be able
to work Saturdays. Job is seasonal at 30 - 40 hours per week. There may be an opportunity for some
overtime.
Other Job Expectations: Learn about other aspects of the retail business to provide sales
assistance in other areas such as (but not limited to) safety covers, parts, pumps, filters, novelties, and
above ground pools. Learn to test water and provide customers with directions on chemical usage.
Receive shipments of product and put away in proper storage place. Assist customers with questions or
help loading vehicle with products purchased. Stock shelves as necessary, take out trash, clean own
work area or store when not busy.
